Our Story

February 2018, Mike lost his job at a health food store named Cornucopia on Long Island, NY because of a mental disorder called Schizoaffective that he struggles with. After that he worked on an organic farm called Natural Earth Farms for 2 years and grew some microgreens for the owner who in turn grew them for his CSA. At the health food store, he met Donny Greens who grew microgreens for the produce section. He influenced Mike to start growing microgreens, so he got a couple of trays, a rack, some soil, some seeds, and started growing in his dining room. He started out growing arugula, red beets, and kale. Then, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to live on an urban farm named Sweet Peas Urban Gardens and be a WWOOFer. The owner, Tami Perdue, specialized in growing microgreens and wheatgrass so, he learned a lot on how to grow them. Fast forward about 2 years and now, he has started his own business growing out of his home. Enjoy some healthy, nutrient dense, fresh, tiny veggies grown locally!
