Starting The Business
MikeGrowsGreens has been brewing for a couple years in my brain since 2018 when I lost my job at a health food store named Cornucopia that I worked at in Long Island. I learned about them through a vendor named Donny Greens that produced the micros for the store weekly. I then ended up working on an organic CSA farm named Natural Earth Farms for 2 years after that happened. I learned a lot about how to grow organic produce on a 12-acre farm. I influenced the owner of the farm to grow microgreens for the CSA. Then in December 2019 I decided to move to Raleigh, North Carolina to WWOOF on an organic urban garden that grew microgreens called Sweet Peas Urban Gardens. I learned a lot about how to grow microgreens and sell them to stores, restaurants, and famers markets. I was there on and off for 5 years until I was able to move out and start my own business. Now I plan to help people learn about microgreens and eating a healthy diet. Not a very long blog entry. I’ll have more to talk about soon. Thanks for reading!
