On The Move
Tomorrow I’m leaving for Ohio to see my brother get married. Have to pause the microgreen production for the moment. I harvested 3.5 ounces of arugula off of one tray that I had planted on the 6th. That arugula is for someone that works at Lucky Tree and I harvested 2 ounces of radish for the Crabtree location of The Optimist. Tomorrow I will be harvesting the rest of the radish as well as the 3 trays of broccoli that I have for customers. Also, I need to harvest at least 1 ounce of basil for both Optimist locations. After I deliver all that, I’ll start driving to the cabins my brother rented for his wedding.
This past month has been good. Haven’t really got any new clients but I’ve been reaching out to some local businesses including a Mexican restaurant and a health food store. I ordered labels for my radish microgreens that should arrive the day I return from vacation. Also, along with that order is 100 more business cards and a water bottle with my logo on it. Still working on my official logo for my cards and website though. I’m possibly going to have someone help me print t-shirts and stickers once I finalize it. There’s a new space called The Portal in the same building as the coffee shop Lucky Tree in Raleigh. They are a cool community space for creative people like artists and musicians. The owner helps with branding though so that would be cool to look into.
Once I get back from Michigan which I’ll be going to on the 15th after the wedding in Ohio, I’ll be growing as much as I can. Also, will be researching and visiting some new restaurants and cafes to potentially supply. I want to approach an Italian restaurant at some point. There is a taco truck that’s potentially interested as well as another coffee shop. The market I approached has no microgreens on the shelves, so my goal is to supply them eventually. Stay tuned for what happens! Thanks for following my journey!
